The Ford F-150 is rated for best-in-class available payload and towing capabilities, including up to 2,455 pounds of payload and an impressive 13,500-pound towing capacity. The Chevy Silverado 1500 maxes out at a 13,300-pound towing capacity and a 2,260-pound payload capacity.

The 2024 Ford F-150 is also more fuel-efficient with up to 23 MPG city and 26 MPG highway, compared to the Chevy’s 18 MPG city and 21 MPG highway ratings. For 2024, the Ford F-150 gets six available engine options, including a new standard 325-hp Twin-Turbo 2.7L EcoBoost V6 and a 430-hp 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6. With four engine options, the Chevy Silverado 1500’s base turbo 2.7L four-cylinder makes less hp at up to 310 hp. Also, the Chevy’s most powerful V8 engine makes 420 hp, while the F-150’s supercharged V8 with up to 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque.
