An available 2.5L iVCT Atkinson Cycle I-4 Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid engine is paired with an eCVT to generate 192 combined hp on the Ford Escape Hybrid and up to 210 combined hp on the Plug-In Hybrid model. Also, Escape Hybrid gets 42 MPGe city and 36 MPGe highway ratings, while the Plug-in Hybrid variation is rated for up to 101 combined MPGe.
