The 2023 Ford Escape lineup has been completely revamped. You may notice the trim names have even changed to represent the redesigned Escape. Instead of S, SE, SEL, etc., we now see the Base, Active, and Platinum models alongside the sport-oriented ST-series.
Below is our overview of the major differences between these trim levels. For the most part, each trim level increase retains the features of the previous trim and adds the bulleted items. However, the ST-Line tends to be more separated from the Base, Active, and Platinum models.

There is nothing basic about the Escape Base. Its powerful engine and FWD or AWD option give robust performance, and its technology both for entertainment and safety is superior in its class.
The Co-Pilot360 technology package includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane keep alert, driver drowsiness monitoring, blind spot detection, cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and rear-view camera.

2023 Ford Escape Active
The Active keeps the features of the Base and adds available options for adaptive cruise control, lane centering, speed sign recognition, evasive steering assist, rear parking sensors, built-in navigation, and 360-degree camera. Also available for the audio lovers specially is a B&O premium sound system as well as the standard and available features below.

2023 Ford Escape ST-Line
The ST-Line is designed as the sporter, more “muscley” Escape option. The exterior design is more aggressive and has special touches on the grille, spoiler, and lighting as well as blackout styling. Many of its interior and tech features return to the Base options, such as the touchscreen size.

The ST-Line Select retains the features of the ST-Line but gets a more powerful engine with auto start-stop technology.
